ACADEMIC WRITING bursaries
In 2015 CMIR offered the following Academic Bursaries to UWE staff:
"4 x expenses of £500 for the creation of journal article by academic colleagues
Shawn Sobers and Myra Lee each won a CMIR writing bursary.
We aencouraged submissions to be concerned with one of:
a) the UWE practice as research bursaries
b) working with practice as research colleagues
b) the RWA commissions
c) the Knowle West commissions
e) recent theoretical developments in moving image theory
Rolling deadline until 15th September, rolling decisions based upon applications
The first wiring bursary has been awarded to Dr Shawn Sobers
or:
submit 1 x A4 side including title, abstract and date of completion, intended journal of publication and budget and argument for relation of expenses to article
Selection of successful bursaries through a panel consisting of Lynn Barlow, Prof Jon Dovey, Prof Andrew Spicer, Prof Chris-Meigh Andrews, Associate Professor Mandy Rose, Prof Terry Flaxton"
These projects were mentored by Professor Terry Flaxton and Professor Jon Dovey"
