John Hodgson is a literacy consultant and film maker with a particular interest in multimodal literacy, the subject of his 2007 doctoral study at the University of the West of England. He is Research Development Officer at the National Association for the Teaching of English and has recently completed two major projects for the Higher Education Academy on the academic experience of university students of English.
