Moving Image Arts Research is an adjunct to the facebook page "Reinventing Moving Image Art" an online research community for professional Moving Image, Sound and New Media Artists. This website is intended as a resource and debating space for people serious about the advancement and investigation of knowledge. The current content began as a research centre respource directed by a group of enthusiastic academics who mounted both the 2015 and 2016 Bristol International Festivals of Cinematography which is intended to be staged again in 2020 alongside another initiative - The Somerset International Festival of Media Art .This website currently has a high cinematography and research content concerned with the capture and display of the contemporary moving image.
