The Intersection of Dreams
Two x Six Month Exhibitions in the Cathedral of St John the Divine in New York attracting 1.2 million visitors 2015, 2017 The Intersection of Dreams 2012
First iteration and opening at both Bristol Cathedral for two months and the Cathedral of St John the Divine in 2012 for six months. Visitor figures at Bristol was circa 56000 and New York 1.2 million. Bristol Cathedral had a version with three screens within a cabinet that opened on the hour to emulate the 15th Century clock that also did the same. The cabinet had a large horizontal screen and the doors had two small portrait oriented screens on the inside which revealed when the cabinet opened.
The second iteration at the Cathedral of St John the Divine in 2015 for six months with visitor figures at around 1.2 million also had a triptych of screens, one large screen in landscape and two in portrait
The New York Cathedral installation had a triptych of screens, one large screen in landscape and two in portrait. Both works opened at the same moment via a connection on facetime.
The third Iteration at the Bishops Palace Wells had a large projection of 20 feet wide with all elements of the work - this was open for three months and attracted 15 thousand visitors

Another Sun
2022 Malta - Another Sun is dedicated to Arseny Tarkovsky and his son, Andrei.Another Sun was inspired by an inspirational journey to an island off the coast of Africa. Contemplating other people, other sentient creatures on other planets circling other suns, I began to write about these ideas and recalled a poem by Arseni Tarkovsky, father of the Russian Film maker Andrei Tarkovsky. Arseni’s poem First Meetings speaks about a spring love affair which continues in normal poetic terms, but ending with a cataclysmic thought and in Another Sun, I wondered if the fate of others on other planets is the same fate has in store for we humans. I merged the end of his poem and the end of First Meetings and then used a Russian AI as the story teller, believing that the lives of others, their thoughts, their 'separateness' would best be addressed by a voice other than our own…
The installation has several iterations and showed for a couple of months in Malta in quite a simple yet elegant single screen way When I got home I then reconstructed the way it could be seen and below you'll see a version I constructed in my home where the image hangs in mid-air and can be blown by the small currents of wind surrounding it. Another Sun is dedicated to Arseny Tarkovsky and his son, Andrei.
