With 'One Second to Midnight', there was only one imperative for Terry Flaxton: To make a piece of work - now. In this case 'now 'was 10.30 in the evening sometime in 2005. Flaxton explains: "I had the camera but nothing to point at - so I decided to point a camera at the most ubiquitous deliverer of moving images there is, Television. I gave myself a rule, turn the tv and whatever was on was the subject area. Shoot for 30 minutes. Then edit and make. 'One Second to Midnight' was the outcome and this is the opening piece of Blink."
